Show/Breeding:
Rabbits that meet the requirements of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. (ARBA) STANDARD OF PERFECTION. Licensed judges determine which rabbit most closely meets the standard. These rabbits are the ones chosen for the breeding program.

Woolers:
These rabbits do not meet the requirements for the show table. It may be something as trivial as a mis-colored toenail. These bunnies are wonderful pets and contribute beautiful wool to be sold or spun into yarn.

"Clementine":
A Californian breed rabbit, Clementine appeared in my mother's back yard one day. Worried about the neighborhood owl, my mother asked me to catch her and keep her safe. Three years later, she is sleek and happy.

Located in California's central valley, Thistledown Angoras Rabbitry is registered with the American Rabbit Breeders Association.
Lindsay, the owner, is a member of the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association), the National Angora Rabbit Breeders Club and the Northern California Angora Guild.

I have been raising French Angoras since June of 1998. The key to happy healthy rabbits is a commitment to your rabbits and taking advantage of all the information and helpful Angora people available to you.

I have listed websites, address and reference materials on my Links page. If you want to raise Angora rabbits, attend a local show (check the ARBA show page to find one near you) and talk to the people there. I have found the breeders in my area to be an incredible source of information and friendship.
